Basic Application:
1/ We recommend trying a small amount of polishing compound in an inconspicuous area of the surface, to check its suitability.
2/ Make sure the surface to be cleaned is free from dirt, dust, grit before using the cleaning system. A dirty surface may affect the finish of the job.
3/ Use a small amount of clean water to wet the surface to be cleaned. A spray bottle is ideal for this or if one is not available, a saturated cloth will do the job.
4/ Cover any items that may get polishing compound splatters on them during the cleaning process.
5/ Apply a minimum of a 3mm thick coating of the polishing compound evenly over the entire surface of the non-scratch pad (Add the paste to the scratch proof pad using a clean utensil, do not use the applicator pad to scoop out the compound)
6/ Use the pad to spread the polish over an area of about 200mm square
7/ Set your drill on a lower speed- Too fast and the product will fly off the pad, the surface will get hot and the product will dry out. Work, moving slowly across the work surface in sections, slightly overlapping on each pass. Do not rush the job! Some patience is required to achieve a great end result. If using the hand applicator pad, ensure that firm, but even pressure is applied to the surface and use small back-and-forth movements.
8/ After a small area has been polished, wipe it down with a damp cloth and check your cleaning progress. Some extremely tough stains and marks may require a second application.
Always ensure the surface being polished is coated with polishing compound. A surface without any polishing compound will not effectively remove stains.
Sometimes, depending on the severity of the staining, a second application may be required.
